Welcome to Little Pentre Barn and The Cottages.

Welcome to Little Pentre Barn and The Cottages.  These five properties are located about a mile south of the picturesque village of Overton on Dee in magnificent rolling border countryside.

All the properties are detached and set in their own distinct grounds, with separate private gardens.  Shared between the properties are over eight acres of further grounds with a large play area, heated swimming pool, several small ponds complete with islands, a stone circle with fire pit and a “Dragon's Lair”.   Next to the swimming pool is a sitting area, ideal for relaxing with a drink on a warm summers evening, overlooking the magnificent views towards the Shropshire border.  England lies just beyond the lower boundary of the grounds, where the Shellbrook stream marks the very edge of Wales.

The old farmhouse next door was originally a half timbered building and dates back many hundreds of years. Now brick faced, it retains some original features. In the main living room, the massive beamed ceiling supports an inglenook, now equipped with a cosy woodburner, behind which can still be seen the old recess for the bread oven. Restored in 2011, the Farmhouse has a traditional and characterful feel about it. Outside is the original well, securely covered by an iron grille, giving another clue as to the history of the property. The Farmhouse is not currently available for rental.

Little Pentre Barn was restored in 2004 and is timber framed. One entire end of the property is double glazed and looks out onto the magnificent view towards the English border. The spacious open plan living area is focused around the woodburner. A mezzanine level, ideal for children, overlooks the main living area. The barn sleeps four comfortably.

The Stable and Gin Palace are of traditional construction. Both look out, over decks and gardens, on to the same magnificent view towards the English Border. Both, whilst light and airy, have a very private, cosy feel, focused again around woodburners. Both have a double bedroom and a wetroom together with small kitchens, and each sleeps two comfortably.
