The Barn was completely restored in 2004 to modern standards yet retains a warm traditional atmosphere. It is built from a combination of Ruabon red brick and a series of Oak frames that run throughout the length of the building.

The main living/dining area is over 28 feet long, 17 feet wide and extends to a height of over 29 feet. It contains a wood burning stove, several comfortable settees and a TV and DVD player. At one end of the barn is a full length glass wall with oak frames and a pair of French doors that overlook a decked area with table and chairs. Through the glass wall are breathtaking views down the valley to the Welsh hills.

From the large living room you can step into the well equipped kitchen area with fridge, cooker, toaster, kettle, microwave and dishwasher. There is a Belfast sink with a small working area to either side. All crockery and cutlery are provided along with every day kitchen necessities such as washing up liquid, utensils and tea towels. The finish is simple but attractive with exposed oak beams and modern lighting.

A Separate utility room is available with a tumble dryer and washing machine.

From the kitchen, saloon doors lead to the main bedroom containing a double bed, bedside cabinet, exposed beams and modern lighting. Space is also available for hanging clothes and storage.

The modern bathroom is equipped with a toilet, hand basin and shower. There is an exposed oak ceiling and a round brick window.

From the kitchen a short flight of stairs leads to the upstairs bedroom (24 feet by 14 feet). This contains three permanent beds and a fourth ‘put me up’. From this room you can look down through a “Minstrels Gallery” to the main living room below. Again exposed beams and modern lighting complement this bedroom. Adults can be comfortably accommodated in this bedroom, however, its use is primarily for children/teenagers.

Immediately outside the Barn there is a private garden and patio area. There is seating and a barbeque.

(Please note the upstairs bedroom extends into the roof space and therefore has a ceiling height of only 5 feet 10 inches in the centre).

The swimming pool is heated and available to use at any time from mid May to September. It is securely fenced off and its position has been chosen to take advantage of the fabulous views over rolling countryside.

The pool is 32 feet long by 15 feet wide. The shallow end is 3 feet deep and the bottom gradually falls to a depth of 6 feet. There is also a slide and steps down into the water.

The area immediately around the pool is beautifully landscaped. There is a large patio area and a charming ‘African Hut’ containing a wood burning stove, seating and a barbeque. An extended grass lawn is situated next to the swimming pool. It is equipped with children’s slide and is an ideal play area.

NB Whilst the pool and pool area are maintained to a very high standard all guests are advised that the use of the private pool is entirely at their own risk.
